The following links are to websites and online programs that will allow you to create, compose, explore and learn about music.

All of these sites are currently free on the internet. Some may also have iPad/tablet versions of the app that can be downloaded from the iTunes or Google Play stores but may incur a fee.

You do not have to download or use these programs unless specifically asked to. They are here as a fun and creative way to make music in a different way.
Incredibox is an online beatboxing and looping program.
​
To create your song just drag the icons onto the 'Dudes' to dress them. They will then start singing!
​
As an extra challenge, try to figure out the secret codes to unlock the special features in each set.
You can also record your song and send it to others.
Isle of Tune is a music coding app.
​
Within the program, you build an island using roads, trees, street lamps, flowers and houses. You then place a car on the road and whenever it passes an object it plays a sound.
​
You can create loops and whole songs using this program. Check out some of the pre-made islands.
​
Previously, Flash Player was required to play the online version. Since Flash has been discontinued since December 2020, the Isle of Tune developers have been creating different HTML versions so that you can still use the program. As this is constantly being updated there may be periods of time where the program is not available.

You can also purchase an Isle of Tune app from the App Store (Apple Products only) for around $5
Groove Pizza is a drum pattern machine that uses maths to create cool beats.
​
Create different shapes and angles on your 'pizza base' and press play. The drum machine will then create your beats and play them back to you.
​
There are several different styles of music you can also play with as well.
Chrome Music Lab is an online app created by Google that allows you to explore the world of music.
​
Within the app there are several smaller apps and programs that you can use.
​
There are apps that allow you to create loops, others that are virtual instruments and some that explore the science behind music and look at sound waves and frequencies.
Mario Paint Music Composer is an online music composition program that allows you to create music using pictures and 'Mario Characters'.
​
Each picture has a different sound/tone/instrument that it will play. Depending where you place each picture will depend on the pitch of the sound.
​
Once you have finished creating your song you can download the audio as a .wav or .mp3 file, you can save it to work on later or you can send a copy of it to Mr. A to show off what you have done!
